Pat Dixon Places Second in His Agegroup at the Open Water National Championships (7/14/01)
Pat Dixon traveled to the Empire Ocean Mile at Pt. Lookout, New York on Long Island--this year's one mile national championship open water swim. Pat came in 2nd in his agegroup, just 17 seconds behind the national champion, who was a local with all the advantages that implies. Congratulations Pat! Wow. Anonymous did find a great team name among the finishers at the swim: The Red Tide of Nye. He suggests maybe we could be The Bronzed Feet of Clay. Maybe not.
